Summary
Ethics in intensive care presents a lot of topics which reflect, among other things, the demographic, political, social and cultural developments in society. The article describes the key discussed areas, such as the issue of palliative care, end-of-life issues in intensive care, and especially the relationship between intensive care and frail, elderly patients.
