Summary
Objective:
Minireview on the current state in measurement and interpretation of glycated albumin.
Method:
Publication is based on the current literature.
Results:
Enzymatic photometric methods for measurement of glycated albumin show good analytical quality and can be realized in routine clinical laboratories by using standard laboratory equipment.
Discussion:
Determination of glycated albumin in serum is candidate marker for management of diabetes in patients with changes of half-life erythrocytes.
Keywords:
Glycated albumin, enzymatic method, minireview, glycated haemoglobin HbA1c.
