APEL – Audit práv a etiky léčby v psychiatrickýchléčebnách

Projekt APEL (Audit práv a etiky léčby), který vznikl z iniciativy Výboru pro lidská právaa biomedicínu Rady vlády ČR pro lidská práva, byl realizován Centrem pro rozvoj péče o duševníhozdraví. Za spolupráce čtyř psychiatrických léčeben se podařilo otestovat nástroje pro hodnocenípéče v psychiatrických léčebnách z hlediska práv psychiatrických pacientů, v těchto léčebnách,porovnávat kvalitu péče z hlediska lidských práv duševně nemocných a zvýšit tím citlivostpersonálu k otázkám práv těchto nemocných. Dlouhodobým cílem je vytvoření a zavedení závaznéhominimálního standardu psychiatrické lůžkové péče z hlediska práv duševně nemocných.

Overview

The project APEL (Audit oft the rights and ethical aspects of the care in psychiatric hospitals)has been developed by an initiative of The Committee for Human Rights and Biomedicine of theGovernment Council for Human Rights and realized by the Centre for Mental Health Developmentwith the help of four psychiatric hospitals. The study successfully proved instruments for assessmentof the care in psychiatric hospitals from a viewpoint of the rights of psychiatric patients, comparedquality of the care from a viewpoint of the rights of mentally ill in the hospitals, and increasesensibility of the hospital personnel for an issue of the rights of patients. The long-term goal is thecreation and implementation of obligatory minimum guidelines for psychiatric in-patient care fromthe viewpoint of the rights of the mentally ill.
