Summary

Psoriasis is a inflammatory, non-infectious skin disease affecting 1–3% of population. Almost 31–45% of adult psoriasis patients report the onset of the disease in the childhood or before 20 years of age. Psoriasis is a multifactorial disease triggered by various factors in genetically predisposed patients. Psoriasis seriously impacts on the quality of life. In children topical therapy is the mainstay of the treatment. Individual approach to patient is required. Guidelines on juvenile psoriasis treatment does not exist yet. In 2010 and 2011 European experts published the consensus on juvenile psoriasis diagnosis and treatment in JDDG [32, 34]. The graphs from the Delphi study summarizing the answers of 18 European experts in the juvenile psoriasis diagnosis and treatment are shown in this article.

Key words:
juvenile psoriasis – clinical manifestation – diagnosis – differential diagnosis – topical and systemic therapy
