Cystic Fibrosis of the Lungs in Children - Our Experience with HRCT Diagnosis

Summary
Authors evaluated 17 high - resolution computer tomography examinations (HRCT) of the lungs in children with cystic fibrosis (CF). According to a scoring system they assesed the extent, type, severity of changes in the lungs in CF. The results were compared with the results of conventional chest radiography (CCR). HRCT is useful in clinical follow - up of patients, it has many advantages in comparison with CCR; it is more sensitive and specific than CCR.
