Summary

Crohn’s disease affects the gastrointestinal tract, including the perianal region. Some perianal lesions called "skin tags" may be an early presentation of the disease, sometimes mimicking the finding of condylomas in the area. Their treatment is conservative and consists in the treatment of the underlying disease. Surgical intervention is not indicated because it can lead to a deterioration of the local finding, increases the risk of abscess and fistula formation and can lead to devastating damage of the perianal area.

Key words:
Crohn’s disease, perianal lesions, skin tags, condylomata acuminata
