Summary

Anorexia nervosa has a negative impact on the physical and psychosocial development of children and adolescents. Although it occurs most often during adolescence, however, the increasing incidence of disorder at an early age highlights the need to study an early-onset group. Developmental approach should be applied both in the diagnostics and the effective treatment. The authors deal with mental anorexia with early onset and the message is illustrated by case reports.
