Summary
Ženíšek J, Franěk K, Dittrichová H, Marcináková V, Šuldová K. Penile strangulation consequences treatment .
Penile strangulation is a challenging clinical situation that usually requires prompt treatment and that can potentially lead to a wide range of vascular and mechanical injuries. Any delay in management deepens ischemia of the penile tissue and sometimes leads to gangrene. The most common symptom of the strangulation is urinary retention. In addition, a whole spectrum of various degrees of mechanical penile injuries is recognized that require some surgical approach. We describe the treatment management in one case of penile strangulation.
