Tragic Case of Untreated Foreign Body in the Cornea
Tragický prípad neliečenéhocudzieho telieska na rohovke
Autor referuje omožných dôsledkoch neliečeného cudzieho telieska rohovky. Cudzie teliesko narohovke nechápe ako banálny očný úraz. Liečbu rohovkových poranení prezentuje ako problémurgentnej oftalmológie. Rozoberá prípad pacienta, ktorý si nepriamym sebapoškodzovanímprivodil ťažké poškodenie zraku s potrebou odstránenia nevyliečiteľne poškodeného oka. Autorprezentuje názor, že všetky očné úrazy majú byť primárne ošetrené na odbornej očnej ambulancii.

The author gives an account on possible sequelae of untreated foreign bodies in the cornea. Hedoes not consider a foreign body in the corneal a trivial injury.He presents treatment of cornealinjuries as an urgent ophthalmological problem. The author analyzes the case of a patient whocaused himself by indirect self-damage serious damage of the eyesight with the necessity toremove the incurably damaged eye. The author presents the view that all eye injuries shouldbe adequately treated in a specialized ophthalmological out-patient department.
