Summary

Stress myocardial perfusion scintigraphy is one of the most frequent procedures of nuclear medicine. The main indication is a detection of a myocardial ischemia which could potentially be treated with revascularization. It is therefore caused by exhausted coronary flow reserve the most frequently due to mechanical stenosis caused by aterosclerosis. We can use direct of indirect vasodilatation with physical or pharmacological stress to test this reserve. Appropriate criteria should be achieved during the stress.

Key words:
myocardial perfusion scintigraphy, coronary flow reserve, stress test
