Summary
Exogenous allergic alveolitis (EAA) belongs to not very frequent occupational diseases. The paper describes etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostics, and case report of exogenous allergic alveolitis. In our case there is a female patient with breathing complaints who worked in the carpet production in automobile industry under the exposure to diisocyanate compounds. Diisocyanate chemicals are compounds that are used in chemical industry as a raw material for the production of polyurethane foams, elastomers, glues and paintings. Even very low concentrations of diisocyanate compounds are important allergens and represent etiological factors of various respiratory diseases.
