Summary
The authors evaluated present opinions and facts about adenotomy and tonsillectomy by means of a questionnaire survey, in which 28 ORL workplaces on the Czech Republic took part. Individual questions were oriented to numbers and techniques of the surgical interventions, the mode of preoperative examinations and the solution of postoperative bleeding. The results are commented by individual authors. One of the objects of the work is to draw attention to the possibility of using legislative justifiability of the structured questionnaire for the determination of blood clotting disorders instead of a laboratory examination within the framework of the preoperative examination in children.
Key words:
adenotomy, tonsillectomy, preoperative examination, bleeding.
