Summary
In this review the latest knowledge on rehabilitation therapy of urine incontinence (UI) in women has been summarized. Also the effect of the urinary incontinence on the quality of life of patients has been evaluated. This paper deals with the therapy of urgent stress incontinence, eventually combined incontinence.
It evaluates the importance of the rehabilitation treatment and gives an overview of rehabilitation techniques (methods) and procedures in our country and abroad. According to the type of UI and presumed causes it presents special exercises with the aim to get rid of functional disorders in coccyx syndrome and pelvic floor and the use of electrostimulation and biofeedback.
In recent years the interest in integration of the measurement of the quality of life into the assessment of medical care has been increased, which quantifies the extent of damage and evaluates the success of treatment and also helps to better understand the changes in the life of women with urine incontinence.
