Summary
Muscular-skeletal diseases have been the second most common cause of incapacity for work in the Czech Republic. Most of these cases are lower back pain and up to 85 % of these cases are non-specific, which means without a clear etiopathogenetic source. In view of the fact that the prevalence of low back pain and the average number of sick days per person per year is high, this is not only an individual but also a society-wide problem with a considerable economic burden on the health system, not only in the Czech Republic.
Besides patho-anatomical causes and psychosocial factors, motor control disorders also play an essential role in the development and chronicity of these difficulties. The aim of this article is to provide basic information about motor control dysfunctions in patients with non-specific low back pain and possibilities of their objective evaluation using instrumental methods.
