Summary
Treatment of hypertension in an outpatient department requires a physician who knows the effects and particularly additional benefits of individual antihypertensive drugs and is able to simplify the treatment and motivate the patient to comply with it. The article discusses the most frequently used groups of antihypertensive drugs and possibilities of simplification of the treatment.
