Summary
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women. Physical activity is crucial for the prevention of the disease. The diagnosis of breast cancer, the process of the disease and its treatment significantly reduces the level of physical activity, well-being and quality of life. The most widely used rehabilitation therapies include physical exercise, manual techniques for pain relief and physical therapy. One of the main goals of rehabilitation involves improving the quality of life. Rehabilitation for breast cancer includes three parts: preoperative, perioperative and postoperative parts. The main kinds of exercise include strength and aerobic training. An important element of comprehensive rehabilitation is focusing on the increase in the range of movement in the shoulder on the operated side. The literature also indicates an improvement in the quality of life and fatigue in rehabilitation of breast cancer patients.
