Summary
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most demanding, whole-life somatic disorder with common psychiatric comorbidity. The occurence of anxious and depressive symptoms is most frequent in these patients. There is evidence that the assist of psychiatrist or /and psychologist is necessary and helpfull but the management of psychosocial factors in the current guidelines of treatment of diabetes mellitus is still missing.
