Summary
The technique of lateral cephalometric radiography became widely used descriptive, analytical and diagnostic methods in clinical orthodontics and prosthetics. It concerns a precise identification of points in teleradiographic images. Then objective of this review is to outline and characterize the extent and complex character of the problem dealing with this vigorously developing method. In view of the high number of reported analyses the review could not describe in detail all these reports but pointed out those most renowned or most important in what they contributed.
