Haemangiomas in Children
Hemangiomy u dětí
Autoři v článku charakterizují hemangiomy u dětí, jejich odlišnosti od ostatních vaskulárníchanomálií. Ukazují na správnou diagnostiku a možnosti vyšetřovacích metod. Zaměřují se na mechanismusangiogeneze, angiogenní faktory, které mají významnou úlohu v patogenezi hemangiomů,mají důležitý význam v terapii, diagnostice a prognóze hemangiomů.

In the submitted paper the authors characterize haemangiomas in children, their differencesfrom other vascular anomalies. They draw attention to the correct diagnosis and possible examinationmethods. Their attention is focused on the mechanismof angiogenesis, angiogenic factors whichplay an important part in the pathogenesis of haemangiomas, are important in treatment, diagnosisand prognosis of haemangiomas.The authors summarize their findings regarding prednisone therapy which still holds the firstplace in the treatment of haemangiomas.
