A Case of Imported Tropical Malaria in a Child
Prípad importovanej tropickej malárie u dieťaťa
Autori referujú o priebehu importovanej tropickej malárie s multiorgánovým postihnutím u dieťaťa. Upozor-ňujú na problémy diagnostiky najmä vzhľadom na epidemiologickú anamnézu, liečbu a rezistenciu na antimala-riká a zdôrazňujú potrebu profylaxie malárie pri pobyte v endemických oblastiach.

The authors describe a case of imported tropical malaria with multi-organ affection in a child. They drawattention to diagnostic problems, in particular with regard to the epidemiological history, treatment and resistanceto anti-malaria drugs and emphasize the importance of malaria prophylaxis in persons staying in endemic areas.
