Summary
This case report deals with the case of a two-year-old boy with a positive family history of asthma and allergy suffering from protracted dry cough and wheezing, which occurred during pollen season and led to suspicion of asthma. No effectiveness of repeated doses of inhaled salbutamol and regular pharmacotherapy with a low dose of inhaled beclomethasone and later onset of an elevated body temperature resulted in a review of diagnosis and subsequent correct treatment.
