Summary

The aim of the presented case report is to acquaint the wider professional public with a rare case of composite follicular lymphoma (FL) and in situ mantle cell neoplasia (ISMCN) in a lymph node. In both components, characteristics of tumor cells populations were investigated primarily using flow cytometry. The patient was diagnosed with a combination of composite FL grade 3A (FL-G3A) and ISMCN, this finding was also confirmed by histopathological and immunohistochemical examination of the lymph node and complemented by fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). The described case shows the diagnostic difficulties in detecting this rare lesion and an important role of flow cytometry in diagnostics of lymphomas.
