Summary
The article summarizes key priorities of European research in the field of ageing both at individual and population levels and reviews the process of preparation of the “road map” for European ageing research under the FuturAge project. The project focused on four key priority themes: 1. Biogerontology, 2. Social and economic resources, 3. Environments of ageing and 4. Healthy ageing. Besides recognized experts from academia, professionals and representatives from practice, public administration, civil society, and the private sector participated in the consultation process on priorities for the Road Map.
