Poslání a budoucnost Public Health v evropském kontextu
Článek poukazuje na potřebu soustavného rozvoje oblasti Public Health v České republice. Teoreticky vymezuje základní cesty rozvoje medicíny a péče o zdraví, uvádí definice Public Health a prezentuje teze dokumentu EUPHA (European Public Health Association) týkající se rozvojových priorit Public Health v Evropě.

Summary
Article presents the necessity of systematic enhancement of Public Health in the Czech Republic. Theoretical outlines of the basic development of medicine and health care are given, definition of Public Health and thesis of the EUPHA document (European Public Health Association) which concern developmental priorities of Public Health in Europe are presented.
