Summary
Cognitive functions are damaged in any brain damage, traumatic, non-traumatic and neurodegenerative. The aim of the paper is to point out a multifunctional interconnective view of the disorder of language – aphasia, thus extending the possibilities in the therapy of this impaired communication ability. Aphasia is described in relation to executive functions, attention and memory, in particular the negative effect of these disorders on the therapy of aphasia is described.
