Summary
This case report describes a situation in which an employee was referred to a physician for a periodic occupational medical examination. After a series of examinations revealed an asymptomatic aortic dissection, early cardiac surgery was performed, saving the life of the patient, who otherwise would not have sought medical care as he felt completely healthy and had no problems.
