Changes of the mood in menopause

Summary
Depression is 2times frequently for the women as for the men. In menopause attend upon the influence of the estrogen deficit and hormonal instability frequently to the occurence of depression. Progesteron reason with effect estrogen to monoamins and so reason with efect estrogen to the mood. Estrogen and progesteron influence to dopamin, noradrenalin, serotonin and the acid gamaaminobutter. Depression behaved by progesteron is probably the cause of noncompliance during the hormonal substitution therapy in the post menopause. There is the necesserity of other studies, which will lead to the selection of medicaments with more specific and stronger influence to the mood than estrogen is.
