Summary
There is an essential trias of symptoms associated with temporomandibular disorder:
pain in the temporomandibular region, movement alteration of the mandible and sound symptoms. Physiotherapy was used as a supplemental therapy to the complex stomatological therapy of temporomandibular disorders. In recent studies it was proved that coordination and stabilization exercises and rela-xation improve biomechanical and functional status in the temporomandibular region (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). We have tried to design a physiotherapy approach to the temporomandibular disorders in this paper.
