Opinion Research of Blood Donors – Results of a AnonymousQuestionnaire
Názorová sonda darcov krvi – výsledky anonymnejankety
Úroveň a možnosti poskytovania hemoterapie závisia od kvality kádra darcov krvi, ktorí sú aktívniv procese darovania krvi. Autori cestou dobrovoľnej anonymnej ankety medzi darcami krvi v prvejpolovici r. 2002 odsledovali názory darcovna darovanie krvi na Transfuziologickom oddelení (TO)KHaTFN v Bratislave. Vyhodnotených bolo 461 správne vyplnených anketových listov. Priemerný vek probandovbol 32,25 roka, pri čom ženy tvorili tretinu a muži 2/3 súboru. Register darcov pozostáva zo 60 %darcov s úplnýmstredoškolským a vysokoškolským vzdelaním.

Overview
The possibilities of hemotherapy depend on the quality of blood donors active in blood donation. Theauthors via a voluntary anonymous questionnaire of blood donors during the first half year of 2002followed blood donor opinions on blood giving in the Transfusiology department in Bratislava. 461donors were evaluated. The average age of the donors was 32.25 years, 1/3 women and 2/3 men. Theresults demonstrate that the donor registry consists of 60 % donors with high school and universityeducation. 50 % of these wanted to give blood on their own, family and friend recruited 38 %, only 6,8 %were recruited by Red Cross, but only 1,6 % were persuaded by doctors. 2/3 donors donate bloodregularly which corresponds with the number of donors who complete their knowledge about blooddonation. Majority of the donors is satisfied with the niveau of care of our departement. Currentquestioning of blood donors may improve care of transfusion departements and can help to keep theinterest of blood donors in further donations.
