Overview
Objective:
Retrospective study results of therapeutic methods in diaphyseal femur fractures in children.
Methods and results:
51 children were treated at our department during the period of 5 years (2005-2009) non-operative and optative (ESIN 54 %, LCP or LC-DCP 31 %, UFN 15 %). Age and weight designates typ of osteosyntesis.
Conclusions:
In our department we prefer optative treatment these fractures. Favorite operative method is ESIN in children over age 14.
