Summary

Pain is one of the most frequent symptoms of a cancerous disease. Today, practically all painful states of cancer patients can be relieved to a tolerable level by combining pharmacological and non-pharmacological procedures. Most patients obtain good relief from their pain after non-invasive administration of analgesic drugs, without a negative impact on their psychical condition. Pain treatment forms inseparable part of care for urological patients and is entirely up to the attending urologist.
