Summary

Cellulosic materials or its derivates offers a lot of valuable properties for wound healing. The carboxylated celluloses are represented, esp. by carboxymethylated cellulose and oxidized cellulose. Hcel HT (carboxymethylated cellulose) is a novel type of cellulosic dressing with an acidic surface pH.

Key words:
wound healing, cellulosic materials, carboxymethylcellulose, oxidized cellulose
