Abstrakta

Vážení čtenáři,

v tomto dvojčísle našeho časopisu Vám předkládáme abstrakta z 25. vědecké konference ESPCR (European Society for Pediatric Clinical Research), která se konala v červnu 2016 ve Vídni.

V úvodním slovu vás zakladatel těchto konferencí Prof. Dr. med. Radvan Urbanek seznamuje s historií a náplní těchto konferencí. První konference proběhla ve Vídni již v roce 1992. Prof. Urbanek, který byl tehdy přednostou dětské kliniky AKH (Allgemeines Krankenhaus der Stadt Wien), pozval na tuto konferenci pediatry – profesory a mladé lékaře – z klinik univerzitních lékařských fakult zemí střední Evropy. Konference byla velmi úspěšná a bylo rozhodnuto pořádat je každoročně střídavě ve všech zemích zúčastněných univerzit, tedy v Rakousku, Maďarsku, Slovinsku, Slovenské a České republice. O tom všem se podrobněji dočtete v úvodním slovu prof. Urbanka.

Doufáme, že Vás abstrakta mladých pediatrů zaujmou a možná Vás inspirují k návštěvě 26. konference, která proběhne v příštím roce v Innsbrucku.

EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF PEDIATRIC CLINICAL RESEARCH MEETING 2016

Welcome to our anniversary conference Pediatric Clinical Research in the middle of June 2016 in Vienna. Already a quarter of a century ago the first meeting took place in the capitol of Austria. Only a few of us were present at the first conference, formerly called ”Paediatric Research of Middle European Countries”. Our aim was to become well acquainted with pediatricians from adjoining countries, therefore after a couple of years in Vienna we decided to rotate our meetings and have already visited many university towns such as Bratislava (SK), Brno (CZ), Budapest (H), Hradec Kralove (CZ), Innsbruck (A), Ljubljana/Bled, Maribor (SLO) and Praha (CZ).

We have chosen our profession as pediatricians because we love a successful work on the patient. Beyond it, we are obliged to be informed and to use all medical progress also for our patients. And this is the main purpose to meet every year, to exchange.

If we look at the countries present today, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and South Germany, they belong to the category “small but beautiful”. That is why it makes sense to cooperate. There is not a single Pediatric Department being able to cover the whole medical field of Pediatrics, therefore it is essential to gain expertise and to set key aspects of activities. Attendance at this conference gives you the unique opportunity to get the access to new methods, to network and to offer special diagnostic tools to more patients, irrespective of the origin of the patient.

In the end I want to thank Prof. Christoph Aufricht and his team for his commitment and hard work to arrange the 25th meeting of our society in this beautiful city and wish you a successful conference.
