Preparation, Aggregative Properties and Antimicrobial Activity of N-Alkyl-N-(2-hydro-xydodecyl)-N,N-dimethylammonium Bromides
Príprava, agregačné vlastnosti a antimikróbna aktivita N-alkyl-N-(2-hydroxydodecyl)--N,N-dimetylamóniumbromidov
Pripravila sa séria 6 nových organických amóniových solí amfifilného charakteru, odvodených odamínalkoholu, všeobecnej štruktúry:CH3(CH2)9CH(OH)CH2N + (CH3)2R Br -R = C6 – C16Súčasťou syntézy uvedených zlúčenín je aj príprava 1-bróm-2-dodekanolu. Sledovali sa agregačnévlastnosti týchto látok vo vodných roztokoch, vyjadrené hodnotami kritickej koncentrácie tvorbymiciel (tab. 2) a antimikróbna aktivita, vyjadrená minimálnou inhibičnou koncentráciou (tab. 3),v závislosti na postupnom predlžovaní alkylového reťazca pri zachovaní základnej štruktúry (2-hyd-roxydodecyl a metyl, naviazané na kvartérny dusík).

The paper describes the preparation of a series of six new organic ammonium salts of amphiphiliccharacter, derived from amine alcohol, of the general structure:CH3(CH2)9CH(OH)CH2N + (CH3)2R Br -R = C6 – C12A part of the synthesis of the above-mentioned compounds is also the preparation of 1-bromo-2-do-decanol. The aggregation properties of these compounds in aqueous solution, expressed by the valuesof the critical concentration of micelle formation (Table 2), and antimicrobial activity, expressed bythe minimum inhibitory concentration (Table 3), in dependence on the step-by-step lengthening ofthe alkyl chain while preserving the principal structure (2-hydroxydodecyl and methyl bound to thequaternary nitrogen) were examined.
