Uncommon nasopharyngeal tumor in old age - nasopharyngeal angiofibroma?

Summary
Nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is a rare, benign tumor seen predominantly in adolescent males (average age 10–25 years). The proposed origin of the nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is located in the roof of the nasopharynx. Histological findings include mature fibrous tissue containing variable amounts of thin-walled vessels. It is a local aggressive type of tumor. Incidence in older age is very rare. Our paper offers a detailed case report of an 85 year old man with nasopharyngeal angiofibroma.
