Summary

A case report of an 80 years old man examined for acute abdominal pain is presented. Physical examination, laboratory tests, abdominal X-ray and ultrasonography yielded no significant findings. A day later, CT of abdomen showed perforation of one of jejunal diverticula. We discuss difficulties in diagnosing acute complications of jejunal diverticulosis, which is in contrast to colonic diverticulosis rare.

Keywords:

acute abdomen – Peritonitis – Small intestine – perforation
