Summary
ERAS – Enhanced Recovery After Surgery or Fast Track Surgery is a concept of perioperative care, that involves a set of procedures leading to faster and safer recovery after surgery operations. The positive effect of this new way of care has been shown to improve the quality of the treatment and nursing process, to reduce postoperative complications, to shorten the hospitalization and to reduce the economic costs associated with the treatment and hospitalization of surgical patients.
