Summary

The aging of the population and increasing numbers of elderly people in the society call for complex solutions. In the area of healthcare i.e. age-related health problems, maintenance of health, the organization and quality of healthcare services, etc., knowledgeable approach on the part of pro-perly educated health professionals is a necessity. Therefore educational programs for individual healthcare professions must be structured accordingly, particularly medicine study programmes for future physicians.
