Summary
The article focuses on behavioral and personality disorders in old age. It characterizes behavioral disorders as a significant and hitherto not enough researched geriatric syndrome, which can have a very significant impact on the quality of life of a person and his/her surroundings. The authors (geriatrician, psychiatrist and psychologist) recommend to focus sufficient attention to this syndrome in clinical practice, searching for its causes and ensuring adequate diagnostic, therapeutic and other measures in time.
