Compartment Syndrome - Perpetual Menace in Traumatology
KOMPARTMENT SYNDROM - STÁLÁ HROZBAV TRAUMATOLOGII
Uveden souhrn názorů na definici, příčiny vzniku, klasifikaci, diagnostický a léčebný postup při kompartment-syndromu. Zabývají se problematikou vzniku kompartment-syndromu (dále KS) po zlomeninách dlouhých kostídolních končetin a také po operacích či traumatech na končetinách bez vzniku fraktury. Zároveň je diskutovánanutnost správné a časné diagnostiky, diferenciální diagnostiky, terapie. Autoři předkládají kazuistiky případůa zdůrazňují nutnost časné dekomprese fasciotomií u manifestních forem tohoto syndromu.

Paper presents current opinions on the definition, causes, classification, diagnosis and treatment of the compartmentsyndrome (CS). The development of CS after the long-bone fractures of the lower extremity and also after the limboperations or trauma without fracture is discussed. The importance of early and correct diagnostics and treatment isalso revealed. Authors present several case reports and they stress the importance of early fasciotomy when necessary.
