A Congenital Pulmonary Arteriovenous Fistula – A Case Report
Kongenitálna pulmonálna arteriovenózna fistula
Vrodené arteriovenózne malformácie sú zriedkavé cievne anomálie v detskom veku. Tieto lézie pozostávajú vo väčšine prípadov z dilatovaných ciev, ktoré vytvárajú veľkú rôznotvarú masu vaskulárnych kanálov s priamou komunikáciou medzi pľúcnymi tepnami a pľúcnymi žilami. Autori článku prezentujú kazuistiku novorodenca s vrodenou arteriovenóznou fistulou v dolnom laloku pravých pľúc. Popisujú rôzne typy, etiológiu, makroskopické a mikroskopické nálezy tejto anomálie.

Summary
Congenital arteriovenous malformations are rare vascular anomalies in infancy and childhood. In most cases, these lesions consist of dilated vessels that appear as a large plexiform mass of vascular channels with direct communication between the pulmonary arteries and the pulmonary veins. Authors of the article present a case report of a newborn with a congenital arteriovenous fistula in the lower lobe of the right lung. They demonstrate various types, etiology, macroscopic and microscopic findings in this anomaly.
Key words:
vascular malformations, pulmonary arteriovenous fistula.
