Only short time of application (one week) is recommended, because too long usage can induce so call medicamentous rhinosinusitis which could be therapeutically problem. Systemic sympatomimetic drugs have not similar undesirable local effect but they have another adverse effect. This is a possibility to use different local medicaments like local corticosteroids or hypertonic saline. Proper combination of drugs from mentioned groups could support each other and improved efficacy of their ordinary drug. Saline proved to be beneficial in humidifying mucosa, douching nose and thus could suppress undiserable effects another drugs. Their application is more provident.
