Sexual Health of Women in Menopause

Summary
Sex is an inseparable part of human life. Human beings are the only species who have sex also on other purpose than a reproductive one. The need of sexuality is one of the basic human needs which are very individual and change depending on the age. Menopause in women and andropause in men are often feared periods connected with mental problems and possible sexual problems. The loss of sexual attraction or other problems concerning sexual sphere affect an individual’s self-conception very much. This period is often connected with polymorbidity and its treatment which can influence significantly sexual life. It is necessary to bear this fact in mind during the treatment as well as during own education of sexual needs.
