Summary

The main part of postoperative pain treatment during caesarean delivery in general anesthesia is multimodal approach. It means combination of various analgesics. The main aim of this principle is reduction of opioid doses and their adverse effects. Local infiltration analgesia (LIA) and transversus abdominis plane (TAP) block are methods of improvement quality of postoperative analgesia.

Key words:
caesarean delivery – local anesthetics – local infiltration analgesia – postoperative analgesia – TAP block
