Summary
Functional diagnostics as the determination of activity profile of the rehabilitants is an integral part of rehabilitation. The authors concentrate on the diagnostics of working activities with the aim of returning the rehabilitant to earning powers. In common practice the diagnostics has been performed without unified and valid methods, simply by logical reasoning of the physician. Even the plant physician, making decision of the actual job placement, often lacks required documents. For all that the requirements of individual working positions, especially in persons with health handicaps into the working process, which are related to the possibility to describe the rehabilitant’s capacity and to compare it with the job requirements are limited. In addition to basic methodological analysis the paper presents the techniques used for this purpose in this country and abroad.
