Summary
The aim of this study was to evaluate the problem of periprosthetic femur fractures and to assess the development of their classification. Second, we analysed risk factors for peroperational and postoperative periprosthetic fractures and determined its frequency in the patient sample. Included is a discussion of the steps we used to treat peroperational and postoperative fractures of femur, prophylaxis against these fractures and functional evaluation of individual approaches using the Harris Hip Score.
Key words:
treatment, prophylaxis, frequency.
