Summary
Unstable trochanteric fractures caused with the fractures of proximal humerus for a long period of time serious therapeutic problem. With introduction of Gamma nail and first of all with his modifications this problem seemed to be solved. But as any method also this method has some failures and complications. The authors analyzed the results of 328 patients with proximal femoral fracture, which were treated with Proximal Femoral Nail introduced by Synthes. The authors discuss the complications of the treatment to find the common reasons of them. They provide the causal solutions of those complications. The aim of this work is to show possible mistakes in operative technique, which lead to the different complications.
Key words:
fractures, proximal femur, complications.
