Tadalafil in the treatment of LUTS/BPH and ED

Summary
Tadalafil is one of the inhibitors of 5-phosphodiesterase PDE5, mostly used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The results of studies however demonstrate a positive effect on lower urinary tract symptoms associated with LUTS/BPH. In the summary of our article we want to demonstrate a common pathophysiological mechanism of ED and LUTS/BPH. The summary of the results has proven that tadalafil can be used for the treatment of LUTS/BPH and especially for patients who simultaneously have ED.
