Summary
Adequate detection and macroscopic evaluation of polyps, their endoscopic resection and subsequent follow-up are key points among standards of quality of endoscopic polypectomy. In the following review, the current trends and guidelines are discussed.
Key words:
polypectomy – biopsy – quality standards
The authors declare they have no potential conflicts of interest concerning drugs, products, or services used in the study.
The Editorial Board declares that the manuscript met the ICMJE „uniform requirements“ for biomedical papers.
