Summary
The primary prevention should be a cornerstone of the clinical medicine. Nowadays are many different methods of risk factors assessment available on the commercial market. These methods are not verified by the evidence-based medicine. Authors here present two case reports of patients with a alternative assessment of risk factors and show that some of these examinations can be inconsistent with current guidelines and they can even harm the patient. Patients should be repeatedly notified about these facts and it is also important to promote classical methods of examinations.
Key words:
primary prevention, risk factors, alternative risk assessment.
